Free Online Gambling Counselling
Gambler's Help services operate from around 100 locations across Victoria. You can contact a Gambler's Help service to make an appointment with a Gambler's Help therapeutic or financial counsellor. All services are free and confidential.
Gambler's Help is a free service for people who are affected by gambling. The services provided by Gambler's Help include:
- Professional, confidential counselling for people who have been impacted by gambling
- Counselling for the family and friends of people who have been impacted by gambling
- Financial counselling can help by providing information, options and practical assistance to minimise the financial impacts from gambling
- Community education to improve community awareness and knowledge about gambling, the potential risks and how to recognise risky gambling behaviour.
- GamCare provides a range of short- and longer-term treatment options, either over the phone, face-to-face or online. Our treatment is free, flexible and confidential. Available across England, Scotland and Wales.
- GamCare GamCare offers free information, support and counselling for problem gamblers in the UK. It runs the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133) and also offers face-to-face counselling. National Problem Gambling Clinic If you live in England or Wales, are aged 13 or over and have complex problems related to gambling, you can refer.
Cyber talk Online Gambling Therapy Support Groups We run regular groups on a range of subjects for both problem gamblers and their friends and families. You don’t need to be the fastest or best typist in the world; just log into a group to feel welcomed and accepted by your peers and representatives of Gambling Therapy.
Anybody impacted by gambling (your own gambling or someone else's), can call the Helpline, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1800 858 858. This service can give you the contact details for your nearest Gambler's Help service or, if you prefer, a service away from where you live. Calls to the Helpline are free from landlines, and won't be listed on your phone bill (though may be listed on mobile bills).

Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion is a gambling industry based program which allows individuals with a gambling issue to ban themselves from the gaming areas of nominated hotels, clubs and the casino. In Victoria, it is a requirement that all venue operators have a self-exclusion program.

Free Gambling Counseling
Non-English speakers.
NCPG Education Committee reviews and approves applications for problem gambling-specific Continuing Education Units (CEU). The purpose of NCPG CEUs is so educational providers and attendees have confidence that an approved conference/training has:
- Educational goals and objectives that demonstrate that our programs will increase specific or general problem gambling knowledge among program trainees and/or make relevant their area of expertise to the field of problem gambling.
- Instructional design that promotes learning about problem gambling.
- Evidence of successful completion and an evaluation form for each trainee.
- Instructors whose credentials and qualifications demonstrate possession of expertise in problem gambling.
Individuals who seek gambling-specific CEUs should contact the Board and/or Certifying body to ensure they accept NCPG CEUs.
